My relationship with Kriste began early in my pregnancy at prenatal yoga class. I looked forward to seeing her every week where we would discuss positive things about pregnancy, childbirth, and becoming a mother. She offered a place of comfort and relaxation during a time of uncertainty and excitement. My husband and I had decided early in our pregnancy that we wanted a doula to attend our birth. When I met with Kriste the first time, I felt like we were on the same page about so many things. Our beliefs were similar and I knew that she would be great during our birth.
Kriste is amazing! Her presence is calming and enlightening. Every time I was unsure about something, she would reassure me that my body was taking care of everything and that my experience was normal. She kept me focused on my birth wish and helped me to remind the nurses what I wanted for myself and my baby. It was great to have her there to be our advocate and support person. Her ideas on pain management and her knowledge of the natural process of childbirth were just fabulous!

Dave and I are so thankful that we had Kriste as our doula. Kriste brought a calm feeling to our labor experience. We were able to relax and enjoy our labor knowing that she had our best interest in mind. She spoke for us with nurses and doctors when we would have forgotten to because we were caught up in the moment. Having her there to deal with the details allowed Dave to focus completely on me and my comfort. Not only was she present during our experience but she has been supportive postpartum as well. We are excited to share our next birthing experience with Kriste being a part of our team!
